Non-financial risk management
At DNB, we deal with financial risk. For example, we examine what happens when interest rates change or when a crisis breaks out. We also investigate and analyse non-financial risks stemming from people, systems, processes and external factors, such as outdated computer systems, unqualified staff or a culture of fear. These risks can endanger an otherwise healthy corporate culture, and can eventually have a negative impact on financial stability.
Supervision of people, systems and external factors
You can help to prevent such situations as a non-financial risk management professional. You will conduct supervisory examinations, sometimes into several financial institutions at the same time, and take action when necessary. This means you will work on today's major challenges. You will also have a direct impact on society with your work. Share your insight, shape our society.
How can we help boost sustainability in the Netherlands?

Non-financial risks can threaten sound operational management, which is why we investigate such risks. They may be present in an institution's business model, its strategy, governance structure, IT systems or in the behaviour and culture of its employees. Our professionals create a detailed inventory of current and potential risks, and they take measures to mitigate the risks as necessary. They do so by identifying the risks, understanding the essence of complex issues and getting to the heart of the matter. Their task is formidable, as they are generally responsible for supervising multiple institutions simultaneously.
